I may be getting the hang of this.
I was debating what to do for the project and many of the Web 2.0 options were interesting but I realized I had a tool on my mac that I had never used before. Not only had I never used iphoto, I most definitely had never attempted to post anything from it to YouTube. Another first was posting something on YouTube. It was pretty simple after the experience of posting in this blog.
Here are the steps I took in creating this project.
- The first step was to go out on Halloween and take photos of houses in the area I live. I thought I would show some of the decorations people had put so much effort into.
- Next I uploaded the photos and put them in the order I wanted on iphoto.
- Next I made a slide show using the slide show function.
- I added the music from itunes. It is not considered a scary song but it scares me.
- I changed the photos from color to black and white with a simple function on iphoto.
- I extended the time each photo was shown to fit the length of the song.
- I used the Ken Burns setting to get the movement in each slide. (Just like his Civil War Doc).
- I then selected my Halloween slideshow, opened file, chose send, then I saved it to imovies and it was saved directly to QuickTime.
- Next, I signed into my YouTube account, found uploads and proceeded to upload the video from My Movies.
- Once it was uploaded I copied and pasted the html to this blog and it was done.
I am sure there is a more direct way to make a post like this which would save time.
Every time I am successful with one of my new attempts I am tickled.
Tyler --- what a process. Your skills are certainly accelerating at a rapid rate. Great use of iPhoto and all the options, then on to iMovie and up to Youtube.
ReplyDeleteYeah, YouTube even sent me a congratulatory email about my first posting.
