School Shooter Game? WTH!?!?!?
First Amendment rights are great but when it promotes mass murder, well, I have issues. Particularly when it is in the setting of actual incidents. Next it will be Auschwitz, Khemer Rouge, and Andersonville reinactments. The April 27 article by Brad Rhen points out that studies show violent gaming can increase aggressive behavior. Playing aggressive games in a school setting has not yet proving to be responsible for any shootings. Not yet. Personally, I do not blame music, T.V. or video games directly for the murderous behavior of some, but it may be a contributing factor in the lack of value some kids put on human life. The article mentions death not being a play thing and video games only make it a fantasy. Taking murder lightly is sick, but it seems to be a national passtime. Parents need to be vigilant becuase I do not see how a teacher will be able to take the game out of a child's hands or mind.
